The Raw Material

  The stage of corkwood made in hygienic conditions, and with time always superior at 6 months from harvest date is essencial to stabilize the physicist-chemistry cork composition.

The Boiling Sector

The cork  boiling operation under a good practice assumes a vital importance in order to eliminate impurities, and it gives cork more malleability  for posterior operations.

The Production Sector

  Stripping and punching operations are executed in security  conditions and always with the purpose  of taking the maximum advantage of the natural product more valious in Portugal, the Cork.

Moisture and Drying Control Room

Pre-drying is necessary to be made before the operation of corks lenght and diameter corrections, in oreder to obtain corks inside the tolerances imposed by normatives.In this room it can also be controlled the moisture and  peroxide level after the washing operation through  the renewable hot air insufflation.

Dimensional corrections sector

 The lenght and diameter correction of the corks is done
respecting specific norms, in a way to obtain disered dimensions

The quality selection sector

The quality selection combined between electonic machines, moving carpets and manual sorting, allows CORSAN to get qualities in accordance with the customer's demands.

The Washing and drying Operation

  The washing and the posterior cork stoppers drying process are done in appropriate machine which offers ideal conditions for the disinfection of the corks using products approved to be in  contact with alimentary goods.

The Finishing Sector

  So that our products have a deserving finishing worthy of our name we created a section where we can effect marking with ink, surface treatment and sterilization with SO2 and finally the packing in bags or card boxes .
